Mt. Pinatubo
Mount Pinatubo, a volcano located about 30 kilometers east of Oasis Hotel, made history when it erupted in June 1991. The volcanic eruption is said to be the biggest eruption in 80 years after Krakatoa Volcano in Java, Indonesia. Its effects are felt until today, not only on the local area, but worldwide. Villages buried by mudflows and the lake at the crater are sights to behold. Pinatubo treks and tours that pass through ravines, canyons, mountain pools and lahar fields are available. http://park.org/Philippines/pinatubo/index.html
